Logging

Kraslesinvest, JSC has a long term lease contract with an annual right of harvesting of 3.2 million cubic meters of round wood per year. The total area under the contract is about 2 million hectares. Leased areas are located on the North bank of the Angara river which is famous for the quality of the genuine Angarsk pine and larch.

A tree becomes denser when growing in the low temperature conditions. Over time it gains strength due to unique resin composition. The lumber logs harvested by Kraslesinvest have perfectly sound wood. The company performs forest harvesting both using its own resources and with the help of contractors.

Modern high-class harvesting complexes, such as Caterpillar, Ponsse, EcoLog, and Komatsu, operate on the plots. The logs are delivered to the sawmill by road and by rafting down the Angara River. This ensures year-round and uninterrupted supply of high-quality sawing logs to the sawmill.
